  • If you are worried about a child’s safety, please Contact the MASH on 020 8314 6660 and ask to speak with a duty social worker (Monday–Friday 9am–5pm).

 

  • If you have concerns about the welfare of a child outside these hours, please contact the emergency duty team on 020 8314 6000 and ask to speak to the out-of-hours duty social worker.

 

  • If you think a child or young person may be in immediate danger, call 999 or contact your local police on 101.

Managing Corona Virus(Covid-19) Anxiety

 

For Parents/Guardian/carers

  • Avoid excessive exposure to media coverage
  • Connect through calls/text/internet
  • Add extra time for daily stress relief
  • Practice self-care
  • Focus on you mental health

For the child

  • Reassure them that they are safe
  • Let them express their worries
  • Share your own coping skills
  • Limit their news exposure
  • Create a routine and structure

For quarantine and self-isolation

  • Keep in touch with your loved ones via social media, texts and calls
  • Create a daily self-care routine
  • Keep yourself busy: Books, games or movies
  • Focus on new relaxation techniques
