Pupil Premium

Addey and Stanhope School Pupil Premium Funding Strategy 2020-2021

At Addey and Stanhope School our aim is to create a dynamic learning community in which all students, regardless of their starting point or background, and staff learn together to achieve excellence.  Our culture of high expectations for all, through quality teaching, enables us to identify barriers to learning and offer bespoke provision for disadvantaged students; this underpins the school’s self-evaluation and whole school development plan. We know our students well and we know that the teacher in the classroom makes the most difference to students’ outcomes therefore we invest in the professional development of our staff.  We take an evidence and research based approach to supporting pupil premium students and implement strategies at classroom, curriculum, pastoral and whole school level.  We adapt and improve our practice in response to robust, on-going analysis and evaluation of data.

Catch-up premium

The government have announced additional funding to support children and young people affected by school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This is particularly important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds.

At Addey and Stanhope we are reviewing and evaluating both our Pupil Premium and Catch-up plans for last year in order to further develop this year’s plan to ensure maximum impact where it is most needed.
