Addey & Stanhope is a school with a remarkable history and a clear commitment to preparing young people for the world in which they will live and work. Our history stretches back over 300 years, and we are proud of the traditions, values and sense of community passed down through generations of Addeyans. Our responsibility is not simply to preserve this heritage, but to build on it, creating the foundations for every young person to lead a happy, healthy and successful life.

This ambition is brought to life through our Hearts of Oak curriculum, which combines academic rigour with the development of confidence, character, resilience and a strong sense of self. Students are challenged to achieve highly while receiving exceptional pastoral care in an environment where they feel safe, valued and understood.

Our school is built on strong relationships, mutual respect and high expectations. We believe every young person can achieve great things, while recognising that success will look different for each individual. Our small size means that students are known as individuals, enabling us to provide the personalised support, challenge and encouragement they need to thrive.

Our excellent examination results reflect the impact of our ambitious curriculum, outstanding teaching and high expectations. We are also proud of our nationally recognised careers and destinations work, ensuring every student receives the advice, guidance and experiences needed to make informed choices about their future. Each year, students progress to more than 30 different destinations, including a wide range of courses, qualifications and fully funded scholarships to independent schools.
